Most poets write existential pieces, philosophical ponderings that tell on them.
Look deep and you will see their soul.
~Jennifer DiCamillo~

FORM POETRY

Poetry captures the beauty of language, evokes the imagination and opens doors to the inner spirit.
~Regina Cook Williams, Editor Storyteller Magazine, USA~

ACROSTIC

Acrostic poetry is created from a single word. Each letter begins a line. The sentiment of the poem usually defines the word. Any syllable count or rhyme scheme can be used.

CINQKU (en trio)

This form is actually a cinquain, a new tanka analogue.
Seventeen syllables in five lines with syllables strictly counted: 2, 3, 4, 6, 2.
There is no title or metrical requirement. For publication or contesting purposes, a title can be applied. Using line breaks effectively is the mark of good cinqku.

IMAGINE

I can see
My soul free
And you there
Giving me
Insightful
News about
Eternity

LOVE

Let me tell you about breathing
Only you provide oxygen, I sing
Very softly, chimes of whispering
Everything you do gives me wings

PICTURE US

Play a video of when
I was young, and you
Couldn’t keep your hands
To yourself, remember
Us, the way we were
Remember, we always were
Eternal friends, in true love
